UNITED SOLAR

What we do

Homes, businesses and farms — designed, installed and maintained by the same team.

01

United Home

Solar panels installed on the tiled roof of a double-storey house

A home system has three jobs: cut the bill, keep the essentials running when the grid drops, and not become a problem in five years. We size it from your actual usage, not a rule of thumb.

  • Rooftop solar PV
  • Lithium battery backup
  • Hybrid inverters — grid, solar and battery in one
  • Upgrades and add-ons to existing systems
  • Certificate of Compliance and PV GreenCard included
  • Rent-to-own available

United Business

For a business the maths is simpler and the stakes are higher. We build commercial and industrial systems that pay for themselves on the tariff and keep production running when Eskom doesn't.

  • Commercial rooftop and carport PV
  • Grid-tied, hybrid and solar-plus-storage
  • Load analysis and tariff modelling before we quote
  • Engineering drawings and CoC for your insurer and landlord
  • Monitoring and monthly performance reporting

United Farm

Rows of ground-mounted solar panels on a farm, with the farmhouse, shed and cattle behind

Farms run on power the grid was never built to deliver reliably: boreholes, centre pivots, cold rooms, packhouses. We design for the load profile and the distance, and we've done it at scale — a 100 kW hybrid system with 200 kWh of storage is one of ours.

  • Borehole and irrigation pumping
  • Cold chain and packhouse backup
  • High-voltage battery storage
  • Diesel generator integration
  • Remote monitoring for sites you can't check daily

United Care

United Care: remote monitoring, a monthly performance report, scheduled cleaning and inspection, fault response and warranty handling — available for systems installed by other companies

A solar system is not a once-off purchase; it's a piece of plant that needs watching. United Care is a monthly plan that keeps yours performing — whether we installed it or somebody else did.

  • Remote monitoring of generation and battery health
  • A performance report every month
  • Scheduled panel cleaning and inspection
  • Fault response and warranty handling with the manufacturers
  • Available for systems installed by other companies

Questions we get asked

How do you size a home solar system?

From your actual electricity usage — your bill, your roof and your loads — not from a rule of thumb. The aim is the right system for what you use, not the biggest one.

Can you add a battery to my existing solar system?

Yes. We do upgrades and add-ons to existing systems, including adding lithium battery storage and replacing inverters.

Do you install commercial and industrial solar?

Yes. United Business covers commercial rooftop and carport PV — grid-tied, hybrid and solar-plus-storage — with load analysis and tariff modelling before we quote, and engineering drawings and a CoC for your insurer and landlord.

Can you power boreholes, irrigation and cold rooms on a farm?

Yes. United Farm designs for borehole and irrigation pumping, cold chain and packhouse backup, high-voltage battery storage and diesel generator integration. One of our farm systems is a 100 kW hybrid with 200 kWh of storage.

Will you maintain a solar system that another company installed?

Yes. United Care is available for systems installed by other companies, not only our own.

What does United Care include?

Remote monitoring of generation and battery health, a performance report every month, scheduled panel cleaning and inspection, fault response, and warranty handling with the manufacturers.
